A story about a factory tour where Japanese cedar tables are manufactured

This is an article about a tour of a furniture factory in order to deepen the understanding of furniture among all staff members.

We visited RTEC Ltd. which mainly makes cedar furniture.

This is Mr. Chiba, a customer service representative, who explained to us about the company.

This factory used to make mainly box furniture such as TV stands and cabinets.
However, due to changes in the housing environment, the factory has been focusing on solid dining tables in recent years.
This picture shows the material of the solid dining table.
The right side is oak and the left side is walnut.

The planks are cut cleanly from the boards that were just cut.

This is a NC router, a machine that uses a computer to drill holes at specific locations.

This is a cedar TV stand being tightened up.
The doors are being installed while tightening.

This is how furniture is carefully made.
