Ikeubkuro Trade Show Report: Encounters and Insights from Our Visitors

Event Overview

In March 2025, we held a furniture trade show in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro district. This event gave visitors a rare and valuable opportunity to see and touch our products in person. We were thrilled to welcome a large number of guests to the venue.

On-Site Atmosphere and Visitor Trends

  • For the first time in a while, we opened on a Friday as well—and it paid off. Many visitors dropped by after work, creating a lively atmosphere in the evening hours.

  • Though the venue was compact, guests appreciated the chance to see the furniture in person, and many responded positively.

  • Many attendees took home our QR-coded business cards, a clear sign of strong interest in our online store.

Key Takeaways from Customer Feedback

  • In-person experience still matters: Customers continue to place high value on seeing real products before making a purchase.

  • Accessibility is key: The ability to stop by on the way home from work was especially appreciated.

  • Space optimization needs work: Visitors noted that the product layout and use of space could be improved further.

Areas for Improvement

  1. Make the most of the display area
→ Consider utilizing wall space for photos of artisans and workshops to add depth and storytelling.

  2. Upgrade product explanation tools
→ Prepare product signage (POP materials) in advance and print them at convenience stores near the venue.

  3. Cater to after-work crowds
→ Explore the possibility of extending Friday hours to around 8 PM—this will require coordination with the gallery.

Looking Ahead

This event offered valuable insights into customer needs and expectations. We’ll use what we learned to plan future trade shows that are even more engaging and customer-friendly. With a continued focus on providing hands-on experiences and thoughtful service, we aim to better connect with our audience and showcase the quality of our products.
