Containerized transportation of furniture from Japan, local in-home installation and our experience
At our company, we usually ship furniture purchased in Japan to overseas customers' doorsteps using international couriers such as DHL, UPS, or EMS (international postal service).
However, for larger furniture items or bulk orders, we can arrange container shipping by sea, including local delivery and in-home installation at the destination.
(As of May 27, 2025, we are also able to offer in-home installation and delivery even for small-lot shipments.)
This service not only eliminates the hassle of carrying and assembling the furniture from the entrance but also includes removal of large amounts of packing materials after delivery.*¹
Special Packaging for Sea Freight
When using container shipping (by sea), especially to the U.S., shipping typically takes 1–2 months.
To ensure the safe arrival of your furniture, we provide moisture-resistant and water-resistant packaging (barrier packaging) specially designed for container transport.

Barrier packaging is a method where products are protected from moisture, salt, and temperature fluctuations by sealing them with barrier materials (which resist moisture), often combined with vacuum sealing and desiccants.
This also helps prevent rusting on any metal components used.
