Specifically, how is sendan wood friendly to the earth?
Despite being a hardwood, sendan wood grows quickly and can generally be harvested in about 20 to 30 years.

Normal hardwoods, for example oak, take about 50 years to harvest.
Coniferous trees such as cedar and cypress also take about 50 years.

Cendan wood grows faster = more carbon dioxide adsorption.
It has an annual carbon dioxide adsorption capacity about six times greater than that of cedar or cypress.

The amount of carbon dioxide adsorbed is small when the amount of sendan wood used is small, but the amount of carbon dioxide adsorbed is also small when the amount of sendan wood used is small.
