  • What is a Zen-biki?

A zen-biki is designed like a drawer that slides out. It is so named because, during periods such as Obon, it is used to place trays (zen). Of course, it is not used exclusively during Obon; originally, it was also employed to hold offerings. Nowadays, it is common to slide out the zen pull-out to place Buddhist implements such as flower stands or fire stands.

  • High Quality and Functionality
While preserving the tradition of Japanese craftsmanship, this chest also pursues functionality that meets modern lifestyle needs. It is a reliable product known for its durability and long-lasting use. The interior of the drawer is lined with paulownia wood, renowned in Japanese furniture for its excellent insect and humidity resistance.
